Burt currently serves as a Director of Strategic Engagement for Chicago-based KUMO Partners. He helps organizations modernize business processes & improve decision making with their Microsoft 365 and the Power BI platforms. In addition, he serves as President of The Burt Levy Media Group, a boutique media consulting firm, specializing in print, digital, sales & leadership training, content creation, HR, and career development consulting. (mediacareerlaunch.com) Prior to entering the technology consulting space, Burt enjoyed a 22-year career with The Chicago Sun-Times Media Group where he held a variety of senior leadership positions, inclusive of; but not limited to, Publisher of NorthShore magazine, Director of Motion Picture & Local Entertainment, Major Accounts, & Local Retail Advertising for the Sun-Times network of print and digital products. Burt is active in the community as a board member of the National MS Society and also served as a past Honoree of the Cohen Weil MS Chicago Chapter for his work over the years in financial development, aimed at helping to find a cure for MS. He currently sits on the advisory board for the University of Illinois College LAS, and also serves as a board member of the America Israel Chamber of Commerce. He also donates additional time & resources to Variety Club Children’s Charities, The Simon Wiesenthal Center, as well as other select and difference-making organizations. Burt attended the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana where he received a BA Degree in Advertising & Communications. While in college he went through the walk-on program for the U of I men's basketball team and ultimately worked for the University of Illinois Athletic Department as a Student Assistant in their Sports Information Department, which helped launch his media career. Burt resides in Highland Park, IL with his wife Wendy who currently serves as Advertising Director for Vogue Magazine - Conde Nast Publishing. Burt has two children Ari & Talia. Ari is a 2017 graduate of Indiana University graduating with a management degree from the School of Public & Environmental Affairs. He is employed by Modern Logistics (Mo-Lo) and resides in Lincoln Park. Talia graduated from Syracuse University Newhouse School of Media, in May of 2019 with a BS Degree in Television, Radio & Film. Talia is currently employed by NBC Universal in NY as an Operations Assistant in their Late Night Television division overseeing Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show & Late Night with Seth Myers.
